The book is great, the routes are well defined and this is a must have for anyone starting out in the Tahoe backcountry. That being said, anyone trying to ask $60 for it is just ripping you off. Do a quick google search and you'll see that the book is available for about $14. You'd have to be an abject moron to pay that much.
Good book leaves a lot of zones out good intro book for the area.
I've just started exploring the Tahoe backcountry and it's nice to have a book with some trip ideas and information. This book and a little internet research and you should be all set. The only negative is the maps could be better, but otherwise, thanks for putting it together.
